Projet Biorock
The Hotel Christopher is a proud supporter of the Artireef project, whose goal is to restore the coral reef at Pointe Milou, using the Biorock process.
Since 2016, fifteen metal structures have been placed on the sand and the reef, offshore from the Christopher, in order to encourage the coral to develop. The hotel provides the electric current used in these structures, which helps stimulate the growth of the coral. This protected zone will eventually become one of the major habitats in St Barthélemy for aquatic flora and fauna.
