Pine Cay, The Original Fly-In Destination

Welcome to Pine Cay Turks and Caicos! Situated among the cays between Providenciales and North Caicos, Pine Cay is an 800-acre privately-owned island and the site of the first tourist development in the Turks and Caicos archipelago. Today, it hosts The Pine Cay resort and a small community of private residences, maintaining its relaxed character and largely unchanged beauty.

Though less than a mile wide and only two miles long, Pine Cay boasts over nine miles of trails and a stunning two-mile stretch of powder-white beach, considered among the finest in the Caribbean. The island is connected on foot to its neighbors, Water Cay and Little Water Cay, allowing ambitious walkers to follow the sand for five uninterrupted miles to the tip of Little Water Cay.
Pine Cay is uniquely endowed with freshwater lakes, utilized by submarines during the Second World War and, according to island legend, by Christopher Columbus himself en route to Cuba. This rare freshwater presence supports a birdlife far more diverse than typical for the Caribbean, with nesting grounds that come alive during migratory seasons, along with over 100 plant varieties, an ancient mahogany tree, and two native orchid species.

A private marina and airstrip make Pine Cay one of the Caribbean's original fly-in destinations — an ideal overnight stop for pilots seeking a peaceful stay. A no-car policy keeps the island tranquil; foot, bicycle, and electric golf cart are the only modes of transportation, easily managed on the island's gentle, flat terrain. The owners are dedicated to a truly relaxed lifestyle, where watching the sunrise and stargazing are as valued as any planned activity. Yet there's no shortage of exploration: cycling, nature trails, fishing, kite surfing, snorkeling, diving, and sailing await those with a spirit of adventure. Pine Cay is simply a return to a life well-lived.
